IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "BLUEQ"
Support the conservation of blue carbon ecosystems in the Adriatic-Ionian Seas.
The Research Unit of the University of Aegean is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “BLUEQ", under the Interreg Programme "IPA ADRION".
The objective of the Interreg project "BLUEQ" is to conserve Posidonia oceanica meadows in the Adriatic-Ionian Seas while enhancing biodiversity and carbon sequestration to combat climate change.
The volunteer will be carrying out implementation and communication activities:
- Support coordination of project implementation;
- Assist in organizing project meetings;
- Maintain regular communication with project partners;
- Track deadlines and monitor timelines;
- Help schedule and plan tasks;
- Prepare updates for team members;
- Promote the project on social media;
- Support dissemination activities to highlight project benefits.
Other information:
Financial support of: 32 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Mytilene, Greece.
Start and duration: January, for 6 month(s).
Languages*: Greek (C2) and English (B2)
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
