IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "ALERT-PFAS"
Support the transnational strategy to detect and prevent PFAS pollution.
Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique - Délégation Occitanie Est, UMR5635 - Institut Européen des Membranes is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “ALERT-PFAS - Transnational strategy to detect and prevent PFAS pollution", under the programme Interreg SUDOE.
The objective of the Interreg project "ALERT-PFAS" is to develop an innovative solution to detect and monitor PFAS in real time. It implements the developed advanced technologies to prevent these compounds from contaminating water, soil, and air in Spain, Portugal, and France.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
support modifying the surface of glass-based sensors;
help synthesizing a porous structure on the sensor surface;
contribute to the characterisation of the sensor adsorbing layer;
develop PFAS adsorption tests;
help with the preparation of regular reports;
communicate the project's outcomes
Other information:
Financial support of: 33.76 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Montpellier, France.
Start and duration: As soon as possible for 5/6 months.
Languages*: French (B1), English (B1).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
