Support Decarbonisation of Small Boats in the South Adriatic Sea
Higher Technological Institute for Mobility Ge. In. Logistic is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “DecarBOATS - Decarbonisation of Small Boats in the South Adriatic Sea", under the Programme Interreg South Adriatic.
The objective of the Interreg project "DecarBOATS" is to reduce carbon emissions in maritime transport by transitioning small boats to electric propulsion and integrating renewable energy solutions.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
Support project dissemination by creating social media posts, newsletters, short articles, videos, and visual content;
Support the implementation of the communication campaign to promote the benefits of decarbonisation of maritime mobility through small boats in the SA area;
Exchange emails with project partners and employees of our organization;
Contribute to dialogue and engagement with key stakeholders, including maritime operators, port authorities, technology developers, and policymakers;
Contribute to the visibility of the project within the IVY network and to the promotion of European Territorial Cooperation among young people and citizens;
Participate in project meetings and communication-related exchanges with partners when relevant to the volunteer’s tasks;
Support the harmonisation of project documents and activities;
Use an informal and creative communication approach to make project content accessible and engaging for young people, citizens, and non-specialist audiences.
Other information:
Financial support of: 31.76 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Bari, Italy.
Start and duration: As soon as possible, for 6 months.
Languages*: Italian (C1), English (C1).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
