IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "easyPEST"

Trabzon University is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “easyPEST - Establishing long-term monitoring system for plant pests around the Black Sea", under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin.
The objective of the Interreg project "easyPEST" is to establish a long-term, cross-border monitoring and early warning system for invasive alien insect pests affecting forests, agricultural areas and urban green spaces in the Black Sea Basin.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:
Supporting the preparation of communication and awareness materials related to the easyPEST platform, mobile application, and pest monitoring system;
Assisting in the organization of pilot activities, demonstrations and awareness events targeting students, citizens and local stakeholders;
Contributing to the preparation of user-friendly content (guides, short texts, visual materials) explaining how to use the mobile application and how citizens can contribute to pest monitoring;
Supporting usability-related activities by collecting feedback from users during pilot implementations and reporting observations to the project team;
Assisting in social media and digital communication activities to increase visibility of project outputs and Interreg cooperation;
Supporting the documentation of project activities (photos, short reports, summaries) for dissemination purposes;
Contributing to the preparation of simple datasets or structured feedback summaries based on user interactions (non-technical level);
Assisting in awareness-raising activities related to climate change, biodiversity and invasive species in connection with the project.
Other information:
Financial support of: 28.08 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Trabzon, Türkiye.
Start and duration: Starting in June, for 6 months.
Deadline for application: 10 May
Languages*: Turkish (B2) and English (B2).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
