IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "Germ of Life"
Support the development of a drought risk management preventive joint approach.
Atos France is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “Germ of Life", under the Interreg Programme "Euro-MED".
The objective of the Interreg project "Germ of Life" is to develop, test and uptake a “drought risk management preventive approach”, based on a set of jointly developed and adapted solutions. It benefits the region through enhanced drought preparedness and response, more effective water resource management and reduced agricultural losses and environmental impacts.
The volunteer will be carrying out implementation activities:
- spearhead, under supervision, the collection and preparation of diverse datasets sourced from satellites, sensors, and meteorological instruments;
- ensure that the collected dataset is cleaned and primed for analysis, setting the foundation for meaningful insights and informed decision-making;
- collaborate closely with data scientists, acting as a bridge between data collection and analysis phases;
- leverage their own knowledge in machine learning and geospatial information systems (GIS) technology to augment project capabilities.
