IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "Karst Firewall 5.0"
Support wildfire resilience in the Karst region.
The Association for Culture and Education PiNA is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “Karst Firewall 5.0", under the Interreg Programme "Italy-Slovenia".
The objective of the Interreg project "Karst Firewall 5.0" is to develop innovative action plans to preserve the resilience of the Karst region when it comes to wildfires and governance, with a cross-border forward-looking approach. It aims to facilitate increased dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders directly involved in wildfire response and management on both sides of the border, as well as among actors from various sectors, including the broader community affected by wildfires.
The volunteer will be carrying out communication activities:
- Helping to communicate and disseminate project results,
- Support the management of the social network,
- Updating the project website,
- Graphic design of brochures and communication materials,
- Editing short promotional videos about the project,
- Translating documents,
- Writing news for the website,
- Planning and organising networking, promotion, awareness-raising and
information events, - Participating in the organisation of workshops and events,
- Assisting with project implementation activities.
Other information:
Financial support of: 30 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Koper, Slovenia.
Start and duration: January, for 6 month(s).
Languages*: English (C1), Italian (C1)
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
