Support rural areas in fighting wildfire
Fundación Juana de Vega is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “PAISACTIVO - Paisajes cortafuegos: Activación del espacio rural para un territorio resiliente", under the Programme "Interreg POCTEP".
The objective of the Interreg project "PAISACTIVO" is to reduce the vulnerability of rural areas to Large Wildfires (LWF) by promoting sustainable land management and revitalizing rural settlements.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
- Designing communication materials such as brochures, infographics, and videos, specifically to promote PAISACTIVO and its related initiatives;
- Creating and managing digital content for social media, websites, and newsletters with the objective of engaging diverse audiences and raising awareness about the activities and goals of PAISACTIVO;
- Assisting in the organization and documentation of events and workshops directly related to the PAISACTIVO project, including community initiatives and stakeholder meetings;
- Developing outreach strategies to connect rural communities and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the PAISACTIVO project’s objectives;
- Collaborating with the project’s press office to prepare and distribute press releases about PAISACTIVO’s activities and milestones;
- Providing hands-on support for communication and digital media efforts, strictly within the scope of the PAISACTIVO project and its associated activities.
Other information:
Financial support of: 29 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Oleiros, Spain.
Start and duration: February, for 6 month(s).
Languages*: Spanish (C2), Portuguese (B1).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
