IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "WASTEREDUCE"
Support the reduction of waste's impact in Natura 2000 and protected areas in Italy and Croatia.
The Institute of Agriculture and Tourism is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “WASTEREDUCE", under the Interreg Programme "Italy-Croatia".
The objective of the Interreg project "WASTEREDUCE" is to reduce waste's impact on green and blue areas and improve waste management in protected and Natura 2000 areas in Italy and Croatia, through concrete actions to monitor, prevent, reduce, and mitigate waste's impact.
The volunteer will be carrying out implementation and communication activities:
- Writing and preparing material for social networks;
- Contributing to the popularization of the project by providing new ideas, especially for young people and for new content on social networks;
- Assisting in structuring and writing action plans for waste management in project pilot areas (Natura 2000 and Protected areas);
- Informing the public about project activities and educating about project issues through supporting workshops designed to inform and educate the public, especially students, about the issues related to the project.
- Help organize the workshops (e.g., planning logistics, preparing materials, contacting institutions); Support facilitators or trainers during the workshop, ensuring everything runs smoothly; Assist in communicating the key messages of the project, making sure the target audience understands the project's issues and goals; Help with interactive activities (discussions, exercises, presentations) to keep students engaged and actively participating;
- Participate in the production of video and other promo materials about the project;
- Learning how to write a report, helping in the systematization of deliverables.
Other information:
Financial support of: 30 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Poreč, Croatia
Start and duration: May, for 6 month(s)*.
Languages**: English (B2), Italian (A1)
*The termination date of the volunteering agreement depends on the conclusion of the IVY initiative, currently set for 30 June 2025. If the IVY initiative is extended, the volunteering mission may continue for a maximum total duration of six months.
**Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
