Support promoting sustainable economic development in the Black Sea region
Via Pontica Foundation is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “AlgaeRevive project", under the Interreg Programme "INTERREG NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme".
The objective of the Interreg project "AlgaeRevive project" is is a collaborative effort aimed at leveraging the potential of algae to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable economic development in the Black Sea region. Through innovative tools, research activities, and knowledge-sharing initiatives, the project aims to create a lasting impact and foster a collective approach to algae-related issues. The project brings together partners from five countries - Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, and Ukraine - to collaboratively address common challenges related to algal blooms and their impact on the marine ecosystem.
The volunteer will be carrying out communication and implementation activities:
- assist with managing and creating content for the AlgaeRevive project’s social media channels, including:
- Creating and Scheduling Social Media Posts
- Develop engaging content to promote the project’s activities, events, and progress, ensuring alignment with the project's goals and messaging.Design visually appealing posts (using tools like Canva or similar platforms) to share updates, research findings, and other relevant information.
- Engaging with Online Audiences - Respond to comments and messages on social media platforms, fostering community interaction and promoting awareness of the project’s work.Track engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of posts and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Promoting Events and Activities - Assist in creating posts for upcoming events such as workshops, conferences, or awareness campaigns, ensuring they reach the appropriate audience.
- Content Planning and Strategy - Help plan the content calendar to ensure regular posting and consistency across social media channels. Assist in brainstorming ideas for campaigns and initiatives that raise awareness about the project's impact on environmental sustainability.
Other information:
Financial support of: 26 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Burgas, Bulgaria
Start and duration: May 2025, for 2 month(s).

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
