IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "Upcycling Trust"
Support strengthening the urban fabric and achieve climate goals
Community Land Trust Brussels is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “Upcycling Trust", under the Interreg Programme "Interreg North-West Europe".
The objective of the Interreg project "Upcycling Trust" is about addressing the housing crisis, strengthen the urban fabric and achieve climate goals, the upcycling trust model offers an innovative, structural approach that can accelerate a just urban transition.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:
- help us research and monitor relevant policies and projects related to energy renovation, affordable housing, community-led housing, circular renovation methods, in the project region and across Europe
- get in contact and exchange with relevant stakeholders at local, regional and EU level: local authorities, NGOs, practitioners, EU institutions, to identify opportunities for advocacy and partnership
- together with our communication officer, help us design content and implement communication activities in line with the communication strategy. This includes drafting clear communication messages and designing graphic elements for offline and online formats, such as flyers, event posters, newsletters, advocacy decks, etc.

Financial support of: 37 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Start and duration: April 2025, for 3 to 6 month(s).
Languages*: English (C2), French (B2)
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
