IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "EsCaT"
Building a Resilient and United Cross-Border Community
Department of Pyrénées-Orientales is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “EsCaT / EFA 2/0 Aire Fonctionnelle Espace Catalan Transfrontalier · Àrea Funcional Espai Català Transfronterer", under the Interreg Programme "POCTEFA (Spain-France-Andorra)".
The objective of the Interreg project "EsCaT" is improving quality of life through local cooperation and a shared sense of belonging in a resilient cross-border territory.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
- Communicating on the project and its results (which could take the form of short videos);
- developing communication content and to update social media channels;
- suggest texts, documents and images for the website;
- suggest improvements (particularly to facilitate understanding by the general public) or subjects to be covered on our platform;
- participate in the design, organisation and implementation of our cross-border public events (including a major seminar);
- if time permits, create the newsletter layout and provide input;
- participating in the preparation and holding of technical and political meetings;
- other tasks that the volunteer may propose in connection with the project.
Other information:
Financial support of: 33,76 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Perpignan, France.
Start and duration: As soon as possible, for 6 months.
Languages*: French (C1), Spanish (C1), Catalan (B2)
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
