IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "TRANSFIRESAÚDE"
Support promoting the integration of the euro-regional health I+i ecosystem
GALICIAN HEALTH KNOWLEDGE AGENCY is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “TRANSFIRESAÚDE", under the Interreg Programme "Interreg Spain-Portugal (POCTEP)".
The objective of the Interreg project "TRANSIFIRESAÚDE" is "The Euroregion faces a serious problem linked to the drastic aging of its population, yielding one of the worst figures on this issue at European level. In 2021, 20.4% and 25.2% of people over 65 years of age in N. Portugal and Galicia respectively, in a process that is gradually worsening and significantly affecting health sevices, with special incidence in primary care. It is essential to address this problem through mechanisms that ensure the sustainability of the health system and at the same time, turning necessity into virtue, convert this problem into an opportunity for economic development as a leading and transforming euroregion in terms of active and healthy aging.
Thus, TRANSFIRESAUDE is commited to strenghtening the integration of the Euroregional health research and innovation ecosystem for the join development of actions focused on the adoption of innovative solutions, especially in the framework of AI, to address the challenges related to active and healtahy aging (EAS) and personalized medicine (PM), preferably in the primary care environment.
Such a comprehensive Euroregional challenge can only be successfully addressed in an aggregated manner, by forming a cross-border partnership that is expert in the field, representative of the problem and balanced in its roles, and that tackles the problem through a holistic approach, implementing activities that attack the problem from different but complementary approaches."

The volunteer will be carrying out these types of activities:
- Collaboration in the management of social networks and creation of publications for them (LinkedIn, Facebook, X);
- Participation in the organization of workshops and events, including a cross-border workshops and the celebration of cross-border investigation research awards.;
- Collaboration in the desing of promotional posters for the different project events.;
- Colaboration in writing news for the project's web page.;
- Cooperation in the elaboration of the project newsletters.
Other information:
Financial support of: 29,00 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
Start and duration: Starting in October, for 6 month(s).
Languages*: Spanish (C1)
Deadline for applications: 1st of August

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
