IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "CAP'M"
Support cooperation between Italian-French Marine Protected Areas.
Syndicat Mixte pour les Inondations, l’Aménagement et la Gestion de l’Eau maralpin (SMIAGE) is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “CAP'M - Coopération entre les Aires maritimes Protégées Cap Martin - Capo Mortola", under the Programme Interreg Italy-France Maritime.
The objective of the Interreg project "CAP'M" is to strengthen the technical and political capacities of competent authorities in managing two neighboring protected areas between Italian and French Maritime Regions.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
- Preparation and coordination of the workshops planned for early 2026, including logistical support (venues, invitations, transport, etc.), coordination with French and Italian partners, and support in a bilingual context;
- Design of facilitation tools and materials, such as agendas, mediation tools, signage, and communication supports to enhance participation and visibility;
- Communication before, during and after the workshops, including taking photos, writing short articles or social media posts, and sharing highlights via IVY and project channels;
- Capitalisation of outcomes: note-taking, writing summaries and collecting inspiring quotes or testimonies to highlight the value of citizen engagement and transboundary cooperation.
Other information:
Financial support of: 33.76 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Nice, France.
Start and duration: November, for 6 month(s).
Languages*: French (C1), Italian (C1).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
