IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "CAROUSEL"
Support circular economy development in the Adriatic - Ionian region
MUNICIPALITY OF GERACE is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “CAROUSEL - Creating A maRketplace fOr Up-cycled productS sEcond Life", under the Interreg Programme "Interreg IPA Adrion".
The objective of the Interreg project "CAROUSEL" is to create a "Marketplace of up-cycled products" by piloting approaches and solutions that increase the level of circular lifestyles in small villages and leads to behavioural changes of citizens, enterprises and local public authorities.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
- support local outreach, awareness-raising, and the visibility of the new Gerace Creative Reuse Hub;
- help design and implement communication initiatives aimed at residents, artisans, local community and SMEs to promote: circular lifestyles, the concept of upcycling, the opportunities offered by the new Hub, and the Marketplace;
- prepare short social media posts (Instagram/Facebook), help to create simple visuals and storytelling content, record short interviews or reels during events or workshops or during the hub activities;
- assist in mapping local stakeholders, prepare short presentation materials or profiles of local artisans, SMEs and designers, help coordinate communication between the Hub and community members;
- take photos and short videos of the upcycled objects being produced, help create product descriptions and storytelling for the Marketplace upload, and support the preparation and communication of the Pop-Up events.
Other information:
Financial support of: 31.76 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Gerace, Italy.
Start and duration: January, for 6 months.
Languages*: English (B2).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
