IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "TRANSFER Danube"
Support agriculture’s response to climate change in the Danube region.
Association "Centre for Sustainability and Economic Growth" (CSEG) is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “TRANSFER Danube - InTegRAted moNitoring System For agro-climatic risks within DanubE Region", under the Programme Interreg Danube Region.
The objective of the Interreg project "TRANSFER Danube" is to analyse the new patterns of climatic extreme events (drought, floods, heat waves, e.g.) and design/develop the necessary tools for agriculture in the Danube region in order to be able to properly adapt and respond to such challenges.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
writing short news about project activities on our social media accounts, on our institutional website, and on some local media;
exchanges of e-mails with project partners and with employees of our organization;
support the other employees in organizing events and activities targeting at Bulgarian stakeholders, as well as support the project events by providing help with translations and help with logistics organization;
provide support in collection of information in regards to best practices identification.
Other information:
Financial support of: 34.60 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Pazardzhik, Bulgaria.
Start and duration: February, for 6 months.
Deadline for applications: 01 February 2026.
Languages*: English (B2), Bulgarian (C1).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
