IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "SEALIFE"
Support the conservation of the Mediterranean monk seal.
Parco Naturale Regionale Costa Otranto - Leuca e Bosco di Tricase is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “SEALIFE ", under the Interreg "Greece-Italy" programme.
The objective of the Interreg project "Strengthen cooperation to develop joint solutions for the Mediterranean Monk Seal's Protection - SEALIFE" aims to improve knowledge, monitoring and protection of the Mediterranean monk seal (monachus monachus) in the Adriatic-Ionian area.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:
Support the project's communication and visibility activities by strengthening communication, social media, web platforms and dissemination materials linked to project milestones, events and results;
Assist the partnership reporting and storytelling activities, helping translate technical and scientific project outputs into accessible messages for a wider audience;
Support the organisation and promotion of project meetings, workshops and awareness-raising activities foreseen in the project plan;
Contribute to corss-border cooperation by facilitating information exchange among partners and support the dissemination of project achievements at local and transnational level.
Other information:
Financial support of: 31.76 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Andrano, Italy.
Start and duration: Starting in April, for 6 months.
Languages*: Italian (C1) and English (B2).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
