IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "NATURES"
Support the management improvement of Natura 2000 sites.
Parco Nazionale della Sila is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “NATURES", under the Interreg "Greece-Italy" programme.
The objective of the Interreg project "Strenghtening conservation measures for priority species and habitats - NATURES" aims to strengthen the protection of biodiversity by developing and implementing joint conservation measures for priority species and habitats within Natura 2000 sites..
The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:
Support the communication, dissemination and awareness-raising actions linked to biodiversity conservation and habitat protection within Natura 2000 sites, including activities targeting young people and local stakeholders.;
Support the visibility of project actions implemented in the Sila area, such as conservation plans, training activities and pilot actions, contributing to the communication of their objectives and results within the broader transnational context of the project;
Participation in project meetings, including exchanges with other project partners, will allow direct exposure to cross-border cooperation processes and to the role of the Parco Nazionale della Sila within joint decision-making and coordinated actions, supporting the development of skills in a transnational working environment.
Other information:
Financial support of: 31.76 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Lorica San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy.
Start and duration: Starting in April, for 6 months.
Languages*: Italian (C1) and English (B2).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
