IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "Nordic Bridge"
Support the collaboration portal to connect society-academia in the Northern Periphery and Arctic regions.
Nord Universitet is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “Nordic Bridge", under the Interreg "Northern Periphery and Arctic - NPA" programme
The objective of the Interreg project "Nordic Bridge" addresses challenges in the NPA region, such as brain drain, limited collaboration between academia and society, and under utilized research capacities. The project will create a challenge-driven digital portal for collaborative projects to drive sustainability and innovation.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:
Participation in 1 weekly meetings related to portal design and co-creation with project team;
Supporting UX/service design activities (user journeys, requirements, functionality);
Preparing visual/digital summaries or simple prototypes;
Assisting in testing and improving usability of the platform;
Engaging with students and technical teams to gather insights;
Preparing non-administrative summaries of meetings and reflections for internal learning;
Participation in 1 weekly meeting in the start of week and 1 meeting towards the end of the week to discuss the project assigned tasks to the volunteer.
The host organisation is looking for a voluntreer with the following skills and competences to contribute to the Nordic Bridge project:
i. Interest/experience in UX, digital design, or platform development
ii. Ability to translate ideas into functional digital solutions
iii. Skills in visual communication and prototyping
iv. Interest in innovation and digital tools (e.g. AI tools)
Other information:
Financial support of: 41.12 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Bodø, Norway
Start and duration: As soon as possible, for 6 months.
Languages*: English (B2)
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
