IONIAN UNIVERSITY - RESEARCH COMMITTEE is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “HELIX-SMART", under the Interreg Greece-Italy programme.
The objective of the Interreg project "excellence Hubs Enhancing Linkages and Innovation for X-border ecosystems and SMART transition - HELIX-SMART" is designed to support digital transformation and sustainable growth for SMEs and freelancers, particularly in ICT, tourism, and the blue economy. It addresses regional digital skills gaps and competitiveness challenges by creating Living Labs where businesses can co-develop and test digital solutions. The project offers specialized online training through an e-learning platform with MOOCs and introduces a Digital Twin platform that allows SMEs to virtually test digital tools, reducing risks and costs and represent the shared innnovation ecosystem.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities with a primary focus on communication, stakeholder engagement, innovation ecosystem mapping, and Living Lab activities::
Communication and dissemination activities: social media posts, storytelling, visual content, event support;
Engagement of young entrepreneurs, women-led businesses, and start-ups: support stakeholder mapping activities and collecting data;
Contribution to the promotion and onboarding of users to the e-learning platform MOOCs;
Support of Living Lab activities and innovation workshops and hackathons;
Support the design, testing, and evaluation of the MOOCs and the Digital Twin platform: assist in structuring MOOC content, reviewing learning materials, and developing interactive elements, as well as support pilot testing activities and usability improvements for the Digital Twin platform.
Other information:
Financial support of: 34.60 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Corfu, Greece.
Start and duration: May, for 6 months.
Deadline for application: 6 April
Languages*: Greek (C1) and English (C1)
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.
The host organisation is looking for a volunteer preferably with the following technical and digital skills: understanding of digital tools, e-learning platforms and digital transformation, tools for data collection and analysis, programming languages like python, html, css, javascript, familiarity with social media management and digital communication tools.

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
