IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "GOmini"
Support environmental education and citizen engagement focused on the hidden biodiversity of the cross-border area between Slovenia and Italy.
Univerza na Primorskem - Università del Litorale (University of Primorska) is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “GOmini", under the Interreg Italy-Slovenia programme.
The objective of the Interreg project "Hidden Natural Heritage of the Cross-Border Area for Young Generations - GOmini" is an environmental education and citizen engagement project that focuses on the hidden biodiversity of the cross-border area between Slovenia and Italy. The project focuses on small, often overlooked living environments – microhabitats – and on young explorers who discover nature through close observation..
The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:
Support the project’s communication and outreach activities;
Prepare additional website and social media content;
Collect and edit photos and short videos submitted by participants;
Assist in the preparation of promotional materials;
Support the organisation of workshops and public events for children and schools (during the public events, the volunteers will help the leaders of the workshop in engaging with participants, especially children. The volunteer will also contribute to communication with participants and help document project activities and results.)
Other information:
Financial support of: 28.92 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Koper, Slovenia.
Start and duration: May, for 6 months.
Deadline for application: 6 April.
Languages*: English (B2) and knowledge of Italian and Slovenian.
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
