Papageorgiou General Hospital is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “TeleHeartGuard", under the Interreg Greece-North Macedonia programme.
The objective of the Interreg project "Post Acute Coronary Syndrome Tele Heart Monitoring - TeleHeartGuard" introduces innovative telemonitoring solutions for patients recovering from Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), aiming to improve equitable access to secondary cardiovascular care while reducing healthcare costs and hospital burden. By integrating wearable devices, artificial intelligence, and updated treatment protocols, the project enables earlier patient discharge with safe home monitoring, enhancing both quality of care and hospital efficiency.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:
Assist in the organisation of meetings, workshops, and training sessions (both in-person and online);
Support dissemination and awareness activities;
Contribute to communication materials such as presentations, social media content, and newsletters;
Help document project activities and promote project results to stakeholders and the local community.
Other information:
Financial support of: 34.60 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Thessaloniki, Greece
Start and duration: May, for 6 months.
Languages*: Greek (C1) and English (C1).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
