IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "IndusTour"
Support public policies for the growth of industrial tourism.
Nicosia Tourism Board is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “IndusTour", under the Interreg Europe programme.
The objective of the Interreg project "Visiting lNDUStrial companies and sites as a growing lever to diversify TOURism policies" aims to improve public policies in the scope of strengthening industrial tourism in the partner territories, primarily as a means of promoting innovation, resilience and diversification of tourism services and destinations. Side effects are also expected in terms of increased attractiveness and competitiveness of the past, present and future industrial sites visited.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:
Support the organisation and communication of the IndusTour partners’ meeting to be hosted in Nicosia, including preparation of communication materials, documentation of the event and visibility actions;
Contribute to dissemination activities aimed at raising awareness of industrial tourism and organised company visits as emerging tourism experiences;
Assist in the collection, presentation and promotion of good practices identified in Cyprus, particularly those related to company visits and industrial heritage tourism;
Support communication activities such as preparation of articles, short reports, social media content and visual material highlighting project activities and results;
Assist in stakeholder engagement activities with local businesses, tourism stakeholders and public authorities interested in developing industrial tourism experiences.
Other information:
Financial support of: 34.60 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Nicosia, Cyprus
Start and duration: May, for 6 months.
Deadline for application: 6 April
Languages*: English (C1)

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
