IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "ForestConnect"
Support the protection and preservation of ecological corridors.
Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “Towards a Climate-smart Forest Connectivity for Large Carnivores in the Balkan-Carpathian-Dinaric Region - ForestConnect", under the Interreg Danube Region programme.
The objective of the Interreg project "ForestConnect" is designed to address common challenges and needs on protecting and preserving ecological corridors of large carnivores (LC) in the target area of the project. Interreg ForestConnect aims to secure climate-resilient forest corridors for LCs to move across borders in the Balkan-Carpathian-Dinaric region.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:
Results Consolidation: Assisting the technical team in collecting and organizing final monitoring data from field stations (camera traps and corridor markers) to be included in the "Final Transnational Monitoring Report";
Capitalization of Outputs: Supporting the finalization of the "Transnational Strategic Package" by helping synthesize feedback from regional stakeholders and cross-border partners;
Communication and Outreach: Translating technical conservation successes into accessible "Success Stories" and digital content to promote the project's achievement among the local community and youth;
Final Events Support: Providing logistical and content-related assistance for the organization of final regional workshops and the project's closing dissemination events planned for May.

Financial support of: 35.68 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Podgorica, Montenegro
Start and duration: Start date: 27 April - End date: 30 June, for 2 months.
Deadline for application: 7 April - An online meeting will be held with the shortlisted candidates on the following days.
Languages*: English (B1) and Hungarian (A2).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
