IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "NaTour4CChange"
Support the governance of sustainable tourism.
Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “Governing sustainable tourism in territories with high environmental value: reconnecting tourism and nature for addressing the climate crisis with an ecosystem-based approach - NaTour4CChange ", under the Interreg Euro-MED programme.
The objective of the Interreg project "NaTour4CChange" aims at enhancing the governance of sustainable tourism in regions with high environmental value by reconnecting tourism and nature to address climate change with an ecosystem-based approach. NaTour4CChange builds on successful experiences at the Mediterranean and global level to test solutions for increasing the resilience of coastal destinations in the Mediterranean.
The volunteer will actively support the communication and dissemination activities of the NaTour4CChange project, with a focus on promoting sustainable tourism and climate change awareness with the following activties:
Contribute to the creation of communication content (social media posts, articles, newsletters);
Support the organisation and implementation of project events, workshops and stakeholder meetings;
Assist in documenting project activities (reports, visual material etc);
Participate in awareness-raising initiatives related to sustainable tourism and environmental protection;
Share their own perspective and experiences to enhance outreach towards young audiences.
Other information:
Financial support of: 34.60 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Athens, Greece
Start and duration: May, for 5 months.
Deadline for application: 19 April.
Languages*: Greek (C1) and English (C1).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
