IVY Reporter for the Programme "Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria - Türkiye"
Support cooperation between Bulgaria and Türkiye.
Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, Bulgaria (MRDPW) is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Programme “Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria - Türkiye", a cross-border cooperation programme funded by the European Union. The overall objective of the programme is to strengthen the territorial cohesion of the Bulgaria-Türkiye cross-border region by enhancing the competitiveness of the local economy, digital and green transformation, improving the quality of services of common interest, including reducing pollution and the negative effects of climate change, as well as support for joint actions for institutional and operational cooperation to strengthen good governance of migration.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities and tasks:
support the communication team and project officers in preparing news items, social media posts, newsletters, and other materials showcasing project achievements and Programme activities;
support in updating the website, creating visual or written content, and contributing to outreach events or online campaigns;
promote the projects, summarize and share updates to stakeholders and (potential) project partners;
compile success stories, capture photos, or record video testimonials;
conduct and process surveys, interviews, or focus group discussions and draw statistical summaries;
assist in organising Information days and other promotional events on programme level.
Other information:
Financial support of: 34.60 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Sofia, Bulgaria.
Start and duration: September 2026, for 6 months.
Languages*: English (B2).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
