IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "Oreaqua"
Support strengthening native aquatic ecosystems in the Ore Mountains region.
Biology Centre CAS is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “Oreaqua - Strengthening native aquatic ecosystems in the Ore Mountains region", under the Programme Interreg Bayern-Czechia.
The objective of the Interreg project "Oreaqua" is to improve the management and protection of aquatic fauna through the implementation of a cross-border initiative based on strategic cooperation and knowledge exchange.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
help with field work and familiarization with the course of scientific work;
communication with visitors during field work;
help with laboratory work, acquisition of professional skills;
active participation in public events raising the visibility of the project, communication with young people;
active participation in meetings with project partners, stakeholders and policymakers, implementation support
Other information:
Financial support of: 29.08 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic.
Start and duration: July, for 6 months.
Languages*: Czech (B2), English (B2).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
