IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "AQUAMAN"

The European Public Law Organisation (EPLO) is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “AQUAtic systems’ evaluation for the Mitigation of wAter scarcity in mediterranean islaNds and coastal tourist destinations under severe pressure - AQUAMAN", under the Interreg Euro-MED programme.
The objective of the Interreg project "AQUAMAN" is to address critical issues with a sustainable, comprehensive approach that balances the needs of tourism, agriculture, and local populations while conserving water resources for future generations by safeguarding precious water resources and protect the Mediterranean’s unique lifestyle and environment for generations to come. The project focuses on tapping into non-traditional water sources such as rainwater, stormwater and treated wastewater, reducing overall water demand and optimizing distribution systems.
The volunteer will contribute to the implementation, communication, stakeholder engagement, and awareness-raising activities of the project through the following tasks:
Participate in the regular project online meetings;
Contribute to creating content for the project communication channels and social media;
Support and contribute to the activities of the Living Labs in Greece carried out in collaboration with the other Greek partners;
Support the project's storytelling on the Euro-MED Academy;
Support the management of the social media communication channels and the Project website;
Support dissemination and visibility activities, including the preparation of newsletters, articles, and promotional materials.
Other information:
Financial support of: 34.60 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Athens, Greece
Start and duration: Starting in August, for 6 months.
Deadline for applications 5 July.
Languages*: Greek (C1-C2) and English (C1-C2)
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 23 to 39 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
