IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "I-YEP"
Support the Improvement of Yacht Excellence Profiles.
PROVINCE OF LUCCA is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “I-YEP - Improving yachting excellence profiles ", under the Programme Interreg Italy -France Maritime.
The objective of the Interreg project "I-YEP" is to boost employment in the maritime economy—specifically in onboard yachting—by creating an integrated, cross-border mobility training program that combines the educational excellence of both regions.
Training focuses on strengthening four specific, innovative professional profiles to bridge the gap between job supply and demand: Onboard Chefs, Onboard Stewards, Shore-based (ground) Stewards, Shore motor Engineers.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
Identifying and documenting real-world case studies of skills recognition to show the practical impact of the project;
Participating in meetings and drafting bilingual communication materials in both Italian and French for sharing project content and agreed decisions with all parties involved;
Supporting the organization of bilateral webinars, workshops, or roundtables aimed at discussing the harmonization of profile recognition;
Supporting the dissemination of project final results, its best practices and outputs within the Interreg Maritime area and beyond;
Strengthening cooperation relations with other centres in the cross-border area, which can support Province of Lucca in disseminating the results of I-YEP project as well as other similar ones;
Contribute to communication and awareness-raising on EU maritime policies and the Blue Economy in the Italy–France cross-border area.
Other information:
Financial support of: 31.76 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Lucca, Italy.
Start and duration: As soon as possible, for 6 months.
Languages*: Italian (C2), French (B2), English (B2), Spanish (B2).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 21.48 EUR to 92.96 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience, if needed.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.

Visa
Volunteers are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate visa, residence permit, or any other authorization required to legally enter, reside, and carry out their volunteering activity in the hosting country. Once selected, volunteers are expected to complete all necessary administrative procedures, and submit the required documentation to the relevant authorities. For eligible volunteers relocating between countries participating in the IVY initiative, IVY will reimburse the costs associated with obtaining the required visa, and provide invitation letters and proof of financial means. However, the responsibility for identifying the correct visa, preparing the application, and completing the necessary formalities remains with the volunteer.
