Support innovation and care for active living in cross-border rural areas.
University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “ACTIVA_RURAL_TRANSFRONTERIZO - Innovación y cuidados para una vida activa en el medio rural transfronterizo", under the Programme Interreg Spain - Portugal POCTEP.
The Interreg project “ACTIVA_RURAL_TRANSFRONTERIZO" addresses the challenges posed by population ageing in rural cross-border territories between Spain and Portugal. It is implemented through a broad cross-border partnership involving universities, public authorities and community organisations from Spain and Portugal.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
Supporting literature reviews and documentary analyses related to active ageing, social participation, community care and age-friendly environments in rural areas;
Assisting in the identification and compilation of good practices, innovative models and policy initiatives related to active and healthy ageing at regional, national and European levels;
Supporting communication and dissemination activities related to the project, including preparation of news items, social media content, newsletters and communication materials;

-
Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience, if needed.
-
Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
-
Visa
Volunteers are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate visa, residence permit, or any other authorization required to legally enter, reside, and carry out their volunteering activity in the hosting country. Once selected, volunteers are expected to complete all necessary administrative procedures, and submit the required documentation to the relevant authorities. For eligible volunteers relocating between countries participating in the IVY initiative, IVY will reimburse the costs associated with obtaining the required visa, and provide invitation letters and proof of financial means.
