IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "UniGR-CIRKLA"
Support circular economy for metals and geo-sourced materials.
University of the Greater Region – UniGR is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “UniGR-CIRKLA - UniGR Interdisciplinary Centre of Expertise for the Circular Economy of Metals and Materials ", under the Programme Interreg Grande Región/Grossregion.
The objective of the Interreg project "UniGR-CIRKLA" is to bring together, in a single centre of expertise, actors from civil society, education, research and industry to facilitate the transition towards a more circular economy for metals and geo-sourced materials. It brings together the scientific partners of the University of the Greater Region and the CRITT TJFU alongside regional and European players from the world of industry and innovation.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
Developing a multimedia glossary format to make the project’s content and technical terminology accessible to a broad audience, including: definitions of key concepts and terms, creation of short explanatory videos and social media content, supporting the implementation of the glossary on the project website;
Support the project's daily communication: writing short articles, press releases etc. on project events for the website; translation of texts, care for public relations / networking;
Gaining experience in the use of digital tools for content creation and communication (e.g. Adobe Express, Photoshop etc.);
Planning and publishing content on LinkedIn and Instagram;
Managing website content (news updates and articles using the Contao content management system)
The volunteer will be included in the internal communication within the network of the nine project partners in order to help assuring a coherent communication about the partner’s project activities
The volunteer will participate in project meetings, project events and meetings of the UniGR-CIRKLA project; they will also be involved in organising events. Thus, the volunteer will be present at the partner universities from time to time.
Other information:
Financial support of: 37.36 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Saarbrücken, Germany.
Start and duration: October, for 6 months.
Languages*: French (C1), German (C1), English (B2).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 21.48 EUR to 92.96 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience, if needed.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.

Visa
Volunteers are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate visa, residence permit, or any other authorization required to legally enter, reside, and carry out their volunteering activity in the hosting country. Once selected, volunteers are expected to complete all necessary administrative procedures, and submit the required documentation to the relevant authorities. For eligible volunteers relocating between countries participating in the IVY initiative, IVY will reimburse the costs associated with obtaining the required visa, and provide invitation letters and proof of financial means. However, the responsibility for identifying the correct visa, preparing the application, and completing the necessary formalities remains with the volunteer.
