IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "PARSMO"
Support developing parking policies for shared mobility.
University of West Attica is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “PARSMO - Parking Policies for Shared Mobility", under the Programme "Interreg Europe".
The objective of the Interreg project "PARSMO" is to improve parking policies to better support shared mobility as a sustainable alternative to private cars. As cities face increasing pressure on public space, the project addresses challenges such as integrating shared mobility into local regulations, optimizing intermodal hubs, and promoting its benefits to stakeholders. By focusing on innovative, balanced parking frameworks, PARSMO helps reduce car dependency and emissions. Partners from six countries (Belgium, Italy, Greece, Serbia, Poland, and Sweden) will work together to share best practices and boost shared mobility in less developed areas across five Interreg Europe regions.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
Support with the organization of the stakeholders meeting in Greece by assisting with stakeholder invitation and engagement, meeting logistics, documentation and preparation of supporting materials;
Support with the organization and moderation of an internal workshop within Greek partner organizations by assisting with its preparation, logistics, documentation and the archiving of workshop resources;
Participation and support with the preparation for external events and Policy Learning Platform events by assisting with material presented, active participation (when possible), follow-up knowledge sharing and dissemination of lessons learned;
Support with the communication activities by assisting with the content for social media and website updates for project visibility actions.
Other information:
Financial support of: 34.60 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Aigaleo, Greece.
Start and duration: September, for 6 months.
Languages*: Greek (C2), English (B2).
*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.

How we support you

Financial support
Every volunteer receives a stipend to cover expenses for food and accommodation. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 21.48 EUR to 92.96 EUR per day.

Insurance
IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience, if needed.

Contribution to travel costs
Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.

Visa
Volunteers are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate visa, residence permit, or any other authorization required to legally enter, reside, and carry out their volunteering activity in the hosting country. Once selected, volunteers are expected to complete all necessary administrative procedures, and submit the required documentation to the relevant authorities. For eligible volunteers relocating between countries participating in the IVY initiative, IVY will reimburse the costs associated with obtaining the required visa, and provide invitation letters and proof of financial means. However, the responsibility for identifying the correct visa, preparing the application, and completing the necessary formalities remains with the volunteer.
