IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "MODERATTI"
Support the energy transition in the French–Italian Alps.
Énergie Partagée Association is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project “MODERATTI - Modelling of energy operators in the transalpine region", under the Programme "Interreg ALCOTRA".
The objective of the Interreg project "MODERATTI " is to accelerate the energy transition across four transalpine regions. The conditions for developing renewable energy projects are very similar on both sides of the border: mountainous landscapes, high levels of sunshine, and a scarcity of developable land. The project supports these four regions by pooling know-how and expertise. It employs a method for regional development and consolidation designed to transform them into citizen-led regional energy operators (OETCs). Ultimately, the project seeks to create a resilient Franco-Italian network of OETCs and to replicate this model across the entire mountain range.
The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:
Support for stakeholder mobilization:
Preparation of cross-border workshops:
Assist with logistical organization (inviting participants, booking rooms, preparing bilingual FR/IT materials).
Contribute to communication (social networks, emails, posters) to promote events to target audiences (e.g., network managers like Enedis/e- distribution, citizen cooperatives, local authorities).
Animation and facilitation:
Welcoming participants, taking notes during discussions, and contributing to the graphic or written summary (bilingual reports);
Participate in the visual capture (e.g., graphic facilitation) of emerging ideas.
Contribution to the comparative study
Documentary research:
Collect and analyse documents (legal frameworks, existing reports, feedback) on ACC (France) and CER (Italy).
Populate a shared database (e.g., comparative table of governance models, financing, socio-territorial impact).
Interview support:
Prepare interview guides (standardized questions for key stakeholders).
Participate in conducting exploratory interviews with experts or project leaders (in French or Italian, depending on skills).
Transcribe and synthesize the feedback to inform the diagnostic report.
Support for the co-construction of the action plan:
Identification of good practices:
Identify pilot projects (1-2 border territories) to test ACC-CER twinning arrangements.
Map the resource actors (e.g., cross-border directory of experts).
Proposed collaborative tools :
Contribute to the creation of bilingual materials (e.g., project setup guide, economic simulation tool adapted to both countries).
Assist in drafting joint recommendations for European advocacy (e.g., derogations for cross-border communities).
Communication and promotion:
Content creation:
Write posts for social media or newsletters about the project's progress (in FR/IT).
Participate in the creation of visual materials (infographics, presentations) for Moderatti seminars.
Cross-border monitoring :
Follow the latest news from ACC/CER and share summaries with the team.

Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km.
-
Visa
Volunteers are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate visa, residence permit, or any other authorization required to legally enter, reside, and carry out their volunteering activity in the hosting country. Once selected, volunteers are expected to complete all necessary administrative procedures, and submit the required documentation to the relevant authorities. For eligible volunteers relocating between countries participating in the IVY initiative, IVY will reimburse the costs associated with obtaining the required visa, and provide invitation letters and proof of financial means.
